About the Partnership
BCFF contracts with VFR — Veterans and First Responders Service Dog Training, LLC for all canine scholarship training. VFR is our trusted regional training partner, based in Long Beach, California. Visit them at vfrservicedogs.com.
Together, we provide the professional training guidance that allows our scholarship recipients to self-train their own dogs as off-duty service dogs — always free of charge to the people we serve. This partnership brings together BCFF's community-focused mission with VFR's deep training expertise.

Founded by a retired LA County first responder, VFR brings lived experience and professional excellence to every dog and handler they work with.
