Linda & Daughter:

"Dad, did you hear what happened at school today? We were talking about the upcoming trip..."

Carlos (Current State):

*(Silence)* ... Staring intently at the front entrance, listening to background chatter, unable to focus on the conversation.

🧠 Internal Mind & Physical Response

⚡ High Alert & Adrenaline Spike

  • Threat Scan: Back exposed to crowded room. Watching every silhouette walking past the booth.
  • Physical Response: Leg shaking violently under table. Picking at nails. Trapped adrenaline with nowhere to go.
  • Overhearing Chatter: Listening in on surrounding tables: "Who just walked in? Why is that guy moving fast?"
  • Outcome: Physically present at dinner, but emotionally detached. Isolating from the family.

8-Hour Instructional Seminar

1. Advanced Peer Support: Applied Case Study Seminar

8-Hour Single-Day Intensive / Scenario Analysis

⚠️ The Need

Foundational peer support training teaches active listening, but leaves active peer supporters unprepared for complex field realities, duty-related stressors, and critical incident debriefs.

✅ Course Overview

Designed for active-duty personnel with entry-level peer support certification, this 8-hour seminar moves beyond basic active listening into the operational realities of field peer interventions. Utilizing an in-depth case-study format, participants deconstruct real-world scenarios—examining initial field assessments, de-escalation mechanics, tactical boundary management, and structured referral pathways to refine operational judgment in high-stress environments.

  • Target Audience: Law Enforcement & First Responders with entry-level Peer Support certification
  • Format: 8-Hour Instructional Seminar / Scenario Analysis (Single-Day Intensive)
  • In-depth case-study analysis of duty-related stressors & post-critical incident responses
  • De-escalation mechanics, tactical boundary management & structured referral pathways
🎓
40-Hour Non-Clinical Certification (BCFF / Project SHIELD)

2. First Responder & Military Family Coaching Certification

40-Hour Certification (Repairing Your Home First, Then Helping Others)

⚠️ The Need

Generic relationship materials fail to account for public safety and military family dynamics, shift work, hypervigilance, and cumulative duty stress.

✅ Course Overview

This comprehensive 40-hour non-clinical certification program is delivered over two weekends (2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays = 32 classroom hours) plus 8 hours of applied coaching fieldwork between sessions. Built on a 'Family First' model, we train and support the family through the parents (1 or both household parents attend). Trainees apply practical coaching skills, active listening, and structured problem-solving to repair and strengthen their own home first before learning how to facilitate and coach other frontline families in their agencies.

  • Core Philosophy: Repairing Your Home First (Trainees strengthen their own family before coaching others)
  • Target Audience: Parents, Peer Supporters, Chaplains & Spousal Leads (1 or Both Household Parents Attend)
  • Format: 40-Hour Non-Clinical Certification (2 Weekends: 2 Saturdays & 2 Sundays [32 Class Hrs] + 8 Hrs Applied Work)
